Academic Organization

In order to enter the Program, the student should be guided by a Permanent Professor, who will establish the project linked to the current research lines, the study plan and will follow all the student activities until its defense. In the Master, the selection process is annual. In the Doctorate, the admission is made through continuous flow, after a selective

process.

 

In their curricular program, the Academic’s Master and Doctorate have obligatory and elective attendance disciplines, including the Thesis and Dissertation Surveys related to continuous development of their research projects. There are also monthly General Sessions and all students must attend the defenses of their peers. The academic periods of the Program and the periods of registration, enrollment and withdrawal of the disciplines are defined by major college of the UFRJ.

 

By determination of the Deliberative Committee of the Program, the Master and the Doctorate will have a regular duration of 24 (twenty four) and 48 (forty eight) months, respectively, being exceptional the extension for six months, depending on a favorable decision of the Deliberative Commission.
